If you’re a writer looking for a way to incorporate popular music into your fiction, check out this book. It’s set in the 1980s, and every chapter is the name of a popular song from the period. The author does an amazing job of using music lyrics without using the actual lyrics, and is able to work around copyright infringement. Numerous iconic songs are referenced, but from I can tell, the author only needed permission to use one, because he wanted to use the actual lyrics.
